In 1987 Paladino opened a private recording studio in Los Angeles, The Edge Recording studios. One of the first artists to record there was Jane's Addiction, their debut LP for independent Triple X Records, followed by numerous pop, rock, urban and major rap artists, including, Montell Jordan, NWA, Above the Law, Tupac Shakur, and others.

Having the unique experience of being in the recording environment with artists such as Elton John, Bernie Taupin, Billy Idol, and Stevie Nicks, among others ... and then in his own studio with Jane's Addiction, Montell Jordan, NWA, Tupac Shakur, etc. ... gives Mark a very distinct perspective of the needs of performing artists in any genre ... from development, to final product.
